Some tips I would suggest while you select a fantasy team are:
Pitch Analysis:
Check the pitch report from different sources which you can get from any sports broadcasting site which would play a vital role in selecting the team. If it is a slow wicket like in Hyderabad then focus more on picking main bowlers rather than going for big batsmen because bowlers would give you more points there.
The reason I am saying to check pitch report rather than by going with the conventional mindset and history of any ground is because the condition of pitch can be changed overnight.
Go with the Current Form:
Select players which are in form at the moment rather than going with the big names and expecting them to perform in a particular match. This a common mistake which I have noticed in many teams they just go with big names even if they are not in form and expect them to go bonkers in that particular game.
Example :Many of my friends selected Rohit Sharma, Glenn Maxwell , Ben Stokes ,etc repeatedly in many matches in this years IPL and lost.
Check History:
Some players have a very good record against a particular team or at a particular ground so check that and don't miss out on those players.
Example: Rohit Sharma has an exceptional record at Eden Garden . VVS Laxman always scored against Australia. Both the players are very good and have scored everywhere but in the above circumstances they have a good record.
All-Rounders the Key:
Try and pick as many all rounders in your team , they are valuable asset in any team. Even if they fail in one area suppose batting they can give you points with their bowling. They are a safe option. Don't miss out on players like Shane Watson , Sunil Narine , Andre Russell ,Dwayne Bravo they are great all rounders and then you can join Fantasy cricket league and play.
A perfect fantasy team would be a combination of some research + your luck on that particular day.
